Here is a website link to help indigenous women and start to advocate even if you are non native like me. It has a 6 step plan on it. https://www.niwrc.org/restoration-magazine/february-2023/advocacy-action-6-point-action-plan
Look around on google for websites that stand out to you. Search for ways to help the indigenous population when you yourself are not native there are lots of ways to get involved.
For me my dreams are so big to make a difference in the indigenous populations that I needed to make a list as well as goals in order to get there. Your goals will be specific to you. For me it includes three degrees and hopefully a non-profit. I plan to find ways locally, nationally, and eventually globally. Even if you just plan to sign petitions around you or online this can make a huge difference.
Here is another website to help:
https://www.greenpeace.org/usa/10-ways-to-be-ally-indigenous-peoples/
Many more websites when you look this is just one example as is one website from the first part.
Some things to consider and apply when trying to help:
1. Educate youself
2. Amplify their voices
3. Advocate for Change in Any Way You Can
4. Engage in Cultural Events
5. Be a Responsible Ally
And here is one more website also:
i have found that tic tok has ways to find pages of real news about what’s happening and other places such as websites that tell you what’s going on. Support this by sharing these things or passing it along or making a post about it. I try to do these things as much as I come across them.
